Layup and Finishing Drills

Scoring efficiently near the basket is crucial. Practice standard layups by performing 10 reps from each side of the hoop. Progress to reverse layups, completing 5 successful shots per side. Add euro-step drills, practicing 15 euro-step layups from both left and right angles. To develop contact finishing, practice layups while a partner provides light physical resistance. Dedicate at least 20 minutes per session to layup drills to improve scoring efficiency in close-range situations.
