Endurance Training for Basketball Stamina

Basketball is a high-intensity sport requiring excellent stamina to sustain peak performance. Incorporate endurance training into your routine by starting with steady-state cardio. Run or cycle for 30 minutes at a moderate pace to build a cardiovascular base. Follow this with interval training: sprint for 30 seconds, jog for 1 minute, and repeat for 10 rounds.

Include court-specific drills like suicides, where you sprint to each line on the court and return to the baseline. Complete 5 sets, resting for 1 minute between each. Jump rope is another excellent endurance exercise—perform 5 sets of 2 minutes with a 30-second rest in between. Incorporate these exercises 3 times a week to boost stamina and maintain energy throughout games.
