Agility Drills for Quickness on the Court
Agility is essential for basketball players to react quickly to opponents’ moves. Start with ladder drills, completing 3 sets of exercises such as high knees, lateral steps, and in-and-out movements. Cone drills are also highly effective—set up 6 cones in a zig-zag pattern and sprint through them while staying low. Perform 5 repetitions at maximum speed. Incorporate shuttle runs, sprinting 10 meters forward, 10 meters backward, and repeating for 5 sets. Spend at least 20 minutes on agility training during each practice session for significant results.
